Medical Secretary needed to provide support to the Pediatric Psychology division in order to enhance the operation of its activities. Must be highly organized, detailed oriented, extremely reliable and have the ability to take initiative, work independently and efficiently. Individual must have 1-2 years prior experience in a medical office. Must answer phones, schedule appointments, prepare patient charts, call insurance companies for authorizations, daily update of academic meetings, must be able to track patient accounts ledgers, and must be highly proficient with Microsoft Word & Excel. Potential candidate must have interpersonal skills and general analytical and problem-solving skills. Must be proactive, self-motivated with a positive attitude and pleasant customer service. Responsible to perform additional duties as required.
