The Pediatric Neurology subspecialty at Children's and Women's Physicians of Westchester has taken a great leap forward with the addition of Wendy G. Silver, MD, MA, to the group. Dr. Silver, who had been an associate at CWPW based at Maria Fareri Children's Hospital from 2004 to 2006 has officially returned to CWPW.
“Everyone works really well together at CWPW, and I remember how everyone was so dedicated and caring,” Dr. Silver recalls. “It was really wonderful, and I'm glad to be back.” Dr. Silver spent the last five years as a Pediatric Neurology Fellow at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, and held a Fellowship in Behavioral Neuroscience at the Bronx Psychiatric Center. For the past two years she was an Instructor of Neurology and Pediatrics and Attending Physician at Montefiore Medical Center in The Bronx, as well as holding the position
of Behavioral Fellow.
Dr. Silver returns to complement the pediatric neurology department with offices at PHELPS Memorial Hospital in Sleepy Hollow.
“It's exciting and daunting,” Dr. Silver explains. At CWPW, Dr. Silver will concentrate on treating patients with a range of pediatric neurological disorders — everything from headaches and seizures to autism and other behaviorally defined disorders. She will also concentrate on developmental and language delays, as well as children with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD).
