Dr. Parvez is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at New York Medical College and Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital.
Her primary research interest includes prevention of nosocomial sepsis and investigating the risk factors leading to short bowel syndrome and the various management strategies to treat this disease.
She holds university and industry sponsored research grants.
Dr. Parvez takes great interest in the education and mentoring of the Neonatal Fellows and medical students.
She is actively involved in the development of the Fetal Care Center.
She is also a faculty member of the International Neonatal Fellowship program. In this capacity, she teaches Fellows at Fudan University in Shanghai, China.
